Sharon, a teacher of thirty years in the Saratoga Springs City School District, in upper New York State, is a self-taught artist. She was inspired to write and illustrate children’s books, as well as create murals and individual water based paintings. Through experimentation and observation, Sharon developed her own techniques using watercolors and liquid acrylics. Her subject matter is frequently glass, flowers, animals and landscapes, but she always enjoys the challenge of trying something new and different.
Sharon is inspired by all the species of flowers, birds and animals in the southwestern environment and are reflected in her latest children’s books Desert Moms, Saving Is Wise and Let's Volunteer. Her previously published children’s books are Grammy Loves Me and When I Grow Up. All books are great for parents and grandparents. Cards are also available that are representative of all posted art works.
